Communities - Idea Board

Idea Board is a platform where community members can post their ideas and discuss the ideas that are posted.

To enable Idea Board on your community, please these steps:

• Communities >> Modules >> Idea Board >> Enable

Idea campaign allows community members to post ideas against a particular campaign that is being run.

Communities >> Modules >> Idea Board >> Campaigns

• Click on + New Idea campaign
• Enter the Name of the Idea Campaign
• Enter a Description
• Click on Save

Below are the Ideaboard settings:

New idea approval

Once enabled, any idea posted by the member would be sent to the moderate section for moderation / approval.

New comments approval

Once enabled, any comment posted by the member would be sent to the moderate section for moderation / approval.

Social sharing

Once enabled, the member will see the option to share the idea on social media. (Twitter)

Below are the different options uner notification.

Idea status change

When enabled, the member would get an email notifying them of any change of status of their submitted idea.

When an idea is approved

When enabled, the member would get an email informing them that their idea has been approved.

When a new comment is approved

When enabled, the member would get an email informing them that the comment they posted has been approved.

To members regarding Ideas they have created

When enabled, the member would get an email notification every time theer is any activity on the ideas that they have posted.

Portal notification

When enabled, all members would see an in-app portal notification everytime there is a new comment or idea posted in the ideaboard

Digest

When enabled, you will get a daily or weekly summary of all ideas / comments that have been posted on the ideaboard. Below are the different options for digest notification:

• Daily: Get daily summaries of the ideaboard.
• Weekly: Get weekly summaries of the ideaboard.



Idea Activity Email

When enabled, the member would get an email notification whenever the status of the idea changes.

Comment Activity Email

When enabled, the member would get an email notification whenever the status of his comment changes.

Yes, you can delete an ongoing Idea campaign. To delete, click on the Delete option against the campaign name. A pop-up window will appear with the comment "Are you sure?". Click on Yes to delete. You can also mark a Campaign as Inactive by clicking on the Status. Inactive Campaigns will be hidden from the Portal.

Moderate idea Allows the community manager or moderator to view the ideas / comments that are queued for approval.

Communities >> Modules >> Idea Board >> Moderate idea

Community members can add new Ideas using the Add New Idea form on top of the Idea-board page, under the campaign created by the community admin.

They can enter title, description and image to their idea, and they can also tag words in their idea.

Members can view their ideas and popular ideas under Idea Board. Members can also share their ideas on their Facebook and Twitter account.
