Workflow Integrations with External Platforms

The QuestionPro workflow engine connects survey data to the platforms your organization already runs. Responses are extracted and delivered automatically to file servers, CRMs, spreadsheets, data warehouses, and learning and student systems, with no manual exports.

• Native connectors: Prebuilt nodes for supported platforms send data directly to the destination system.
• HTTP and webhook integrations: The workflow sends data to any platform that accepts API or webhook requests.
• Agent node with MCP tools: An Agent node connected to an MCP tool performs actions in external systems.

Together, these routes let the workflow engine connect to virtually any platform with an API, file transfer endpoint, or MCP server.

• SFTP and data warehouses: Deliver response data files automatically to SFTP servers and central data warehouses over a secure, encrypted connection.

Connect survey workflows with learning and student platforms to sync users, rosters, course context, and feedback. QuestionPro connects to these platforms through three methods:

• LTI 1.3: Launch QuestionPro surveys directly inside LMS courses through the IMS Global LTI 1.3 standard. Users sign in once through the LMS, and their identity, role, and course context pass to QuestionPro securely, with no separate login.
• LTI Advantage services: Sync course rosters with Names and Role Provisioning Services, return completion or scores to the LMS gradebook with Assignment and Grade Services, and place surveys in course content with Deep Linking.
• API: Use the QuestionPro REST API and the LMS or SIS API to exchange users, rosters, and response data on a schedule or on demand.
• Webhooks: Send each new response to the LMS or SIS in real time, or trigger a workflow when an event occurs in the connected platform.

Which method should I use for my LMS?

Use LTI 1.3 to embed surveys in courses with single sign-on and roster sync. Use the API or webhooks to move response data between QuestionPro and the LMS or SIS automatically.

Is data encrypted when it is sent to SFTP?

Yes. Files are transferred over an encrypted SFTP connection.

Can I connect a platform that is not listed?

Yes. Any platform that accepts API, webhook, or file transfer requests can be connected through the HTTP and webhook route or an Agent node with an MCP tool.

Can one workflow deliver data to several platforms?

Yes. Connect multiple actions in a single workflow, for example updating Salesforce, appending to Google Sheets, and delivering a file to SFTP.
